Major Disaster Declaration + FEMA Individual Assistance
Note***** Holiday Park has been removed from the original posting.
Dear Rocky Ripple Residents,
You may have seen the news that President Trump approved Indiana's major disaster declaration last night. This means that individual assistance is expected for certain counties in Indiana, including Marion county.
To prepare for this next phase of assistance, FEMA and the State plan to open mobile registration centers so residents can apply for assistance. There is both an online option as well as an in-person option which will be open this Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th from 8:00am to 6:00pm at the Broad Ripple Family Center. The City is working to line up transportation to these centers for those who need help and can't register online. No appointment needed and we have been advised that residents do not need to bring anything with them when they apply.
If you want to register and can't make it in person, you can register:
By phone: 800-621-3362, 7am to 10pm
Or online: disasterassistance.gov
The City will also be dropping off paper copies of flyers in Rocky Ripple tomorrow for those who need them. Please take advantage of this opportunity to help defray impact costs of the flood.
