The Marion County Health Department will be visiting Wednesday evening. from 5-7 at the Hohlt Park Pavilion. They offer a wide variety of services for everyone. Not just flood issues.

So, last Monday, my dear friend, Jan Frazier, called me into service to put my festival coordination skills back into action.
With the support of several friends in the flood impacted communities on Indy's northside, and the OVERWHELMING enthusiastic response from our music community/family, I have assembled this flood relief event for my home of Marion County. Most specifically, Ravenswood, as well as Rocky Ripple.

Indianapolis musician and former Executive Director of Earth Day Indiana, Inc., Greg Ziesemer, along with friend and event coordinator, Jan Frazier, are partnering with the Indianapolis Foundation in the creation and production of an ALL-DAY MUSIC FESTIVAL fundraising event directly benefitting the hard-hit and resilient Indy communities of RAVENSWOOD and ROCK RIPPLE in the wake of the recent White River Flood!
The festival is titled “ROCKIN’ FOR RIVER RELIEF”, and will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Kennington American Legion Post #34, from 1:00pm-10:00pm, and will feature 16 local bands and performers on TWO STAGES, and will be ALL AGES and FREE TO THE PUBLIC!!
Volunteers will be on hand from BOTH communities to accept donations, and financial contributions made to the Indianapolis Foundation will be channeled DIRECTLY to these specific communities’ needs. Donations of cleaning supplies, clothing, and personal hygiene items will also be collected at the event for distribution following the event.
Musicians and bands performing at the event are all neighbors, and many reside in these affected communities. They are all donating the time and talents to the cause of neighbors helping neighbors. That’s what Hoosiers do.
