Friday the 28th Update
Can't believe it has already been two weeks since everything started happening. Here are some reminders for today.
If you still have a bagster that needs to be picked up, email [email protected].
If you still have items by your curb that go to toxic waste, email [email protected].
DPW is trying to get the last of these picked up today.
The large dumpsters are remaining for now.
Attached photo shows how to apply for FEMA aid.
We are looking at wrapping up the supplies at the town hall garage. We have not had anyone pickup for a couple of days. The garage will be open this morning from 10-11 AM and 5-7 PM.
If you had leant a cooler, shovel, or other equipment, please stop by and grab them if they have been returned. No guarantee that they have been. Shovels are still at Hohlt Park.
Conversely if you have items like sump pumps that are no longer needed, please bring them over to the garage.
Megan, Officer Mike and myself are working on many things behind the scenes for aid for the town hall and the levee. The emergency order, as it stands now, does not include government entities in Marion County. Which means we are locked out of certain FEMA aid right now.
More updates to come as we find out.
Hope everyone has a great Friday!
