Labor Day Updates
Happy Labor Day Everyone!
We are currently working with city, state and FEMA officials to get Marion County declared a Major Disaster area for towns and cities. We met last Friday and found out what could and could not count toward that total. Many of our big items like a levee inspection and levee replacement are not accepted by FEMA currently. We must have our paperwork in by Wednesday and hopefully there will be a determination in the next couple of weeks. But money is much further off in the distance.
How can you help? Well, there are a few things that can help us.
Please continue to email the following people to remind them that Rocky Ripple needs flood protection.
Mayor Joe Hogsett: [email protected]
Todd Wilson-DPW Director- [email protected]
City-County Councilor: John Barth [email protected]
Share this event coming up on Sunday the 13th from 1-10 PM. We will have a tent and table setup there to collect donations.

And last, but not least, please make sure to share our fundraiser. If we get the Major Disaster designation, costs will be split 75% FEMA-25% town. With us having to pay out 100% before we get back 75%. The more we raise now, the less we must beg and borrow in the future!
