Wednesday 9/2 Update
Good Wednesday Morning:
Here are a few updates for everyone.
Megan and myself will be meeting with FEMA on Friday. Marion County has not been designated as a Major Disaster for government entities. This meeting will be for the town to show estimates for damages to help Marion county reach the threshold for Major Disaster designation. Major Disaster designation opens up more funding for towns like ours. More details to come.
Town Hall will have the flooring and parts of the walls removed today and srayed for mold remediation. The main space was cleared out last night in preparation for Samaritan's Purse to come in today. The dumpster at town hall is pretty full right now and will be replaced this morning.
If you have a sump pump or dehumidifier what was loaned to you, these can be returned to the garage area of town hall when you no longer need it.. If you still need it, that is absolutely fine.
We will be winding down the supplies at town hall. We will be keeping a few things and then sending the rest off to other communities that still need them. We hope to have this completed by the end of this weekend or early next week.
