What River Levels
The projections for the Nora guage has moved to 19' 4" for Sunday. This would make it around 15 1/2 feet here. This would still be well below the top of the levee. But it is the seeping through the levee or the possibility of a tree falling on the levee.
We are having sand and sandbags delivered to town hall today in preparation for the high water. We are coordinating with John Barth and Marion County Emergency services
If we start to see any leaking through the levee or other further issues, we will send out additional alerts. We may also have to put out a call for volunteers to fill and place sand bags.
We are just trying to prepared for the worse right now and feel it is best to make sure everyone is aware of what is going on. Now is a time to be vigilant, watch for updates from the town, and be prepared if something does happen.
