Dear Rocky Ripple Resident,
During the December 8, 2021 floodwall update meeting with DPW, Rocky Ripple residents and Town Council representatives learned that changes would be required to the original floodwall design due to cost overruns. This new plan now involves the removal of 13 homes along the river as well as town hall to replace more expensive sections of I and T wall with less expensive earthen levee. Following a two-to-one vote during the May 10, 2022 Rocky Ripple Town Council meeting, the Council approved DPW to move forward to 60% design. DPW is now ready to provide an update on the project.
This special update with DPW has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 16th at 6:30pm at the Riviera Club ballroom (5640 N Illinois St, Indianapolis, IN 46208) to give an update on the project and answer questions.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the meeting. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions.
Sincerely,
The Rocky Ripple Town Council
