Mission Statement

The Rocky Ripple Police Department has the fundamental duty to serve the community, to safeguard lives and property, to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression and intimidation, the peaceful against violence and disorder, and to respect the constitutional rights of all persons to liberty, equality and justice. The Rocky Ripple Police Department will seek to provide personalized police service that offers every law abiding citizen an opportunity to become active in the police process by assisting in the identification and solutions to problems leading to crime.

Bike Patrols

The department currently uses a Trek law enforcement bike. These specially-built bikes are sold only to police departments. They have heavy-duty components and upgraded accessories not normally seen on this level bicycle frame. The bicycle patrol provides many benefits to both the police and the community at large. The mobility of the bike enables the officer to patrol areas which are inaccessible to vehicles, while adding speed and stealth to their movements. Bike patrols move easily through congested areas as well, but the interaction of the bike officer with the public is by far the greatest benefit. The bike officer is more approachable and thus the officer receives important feedback on activity around the community.
