Rocky Ripple Summer Updates
The Rocky Ripple Community Association is putting together an updated Town Directory. If you have not turned in a paper copy at town hall, you can submit a form HERE and you will be added to the directory.
The Community Association is also looking for volunteers for the Rocky Ripple Festival September 27th 11AM- 6PM.
You are encouraged to sign up with a friend or family member because as you know, being a volunteer for three hours is a great way to experience our Art and Music Festival. We appreciate volunteers of all ages.
Perks for volunteers include snacks and drinks from the RRCA booth on festival day and a free T-shirt.
You can sign up at This Link.
With all of the recent rains, residents need to check their properties for obstructions of the roadway and street signs from overgrown brush or fallen trees. Rocky Ripple Town ordinances require residents to keep roadways clear of trees and flora. For full details on what should be trimmed, please look at this Link. We have many areas within town where parts of the road are not usable, and street signs are obstructed. Please look at your property and get things trimmed back soon.
With summer, it means more people, and especially kids, out around the neighborhood. We have had many complaints of people running stop signs and speeding. It has been shown that over 70% of these people cited for these violations are Rocky Ripple residents. If you see the same person running stop signs or speeding, you can email Officer Mike at [email protected] with a car description and/or plate, where the violation keeps occurring and the time of day. Let’s keep our streets safe for everyone!
The other big issue is the number of people letting their dogs run loose or walking them without a leash. Dogs must be in an enclosed yard or on a leash at all times. When walking, whether you have a dog or not, you should walk on the left side of the street against traffic. Offenders can be reported at [email protected] or (317) 327-1397.
We are over a year into the CLOMR process with DPW and FEMA for the proposed flood protection project. For all the latest updates we encourage you to visit out town webpage for all the updates that we have and future ones.
If you haven’t kept up with or missed town meetings, we have audio recordings and documents at the following website. We have recorded most sessions for a couple of years now. You can read over the minutes from the meetings or listen to the recording to catch up.
If you are looking for some fun on the river this summer, Frank’s Livery is offering a 15% discount for users at their website. Use the code ROCKYRIPARIAN when making a reservation on their website.
As always, please feel to reach out to the town board or Marshall Mike at any time.
