At the January 14, 2014, Town Board meeting, Brad Barcom–in behalf of the Board–passed a resolution (link below) requesting that the City of Indianapolis and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) include Rocky Ripple in Phase 3B of the Indianapolis, White River (North), IN Flood Damage Reduction Project. In the resolution, Board members have also committed to seek additional funding if necessary to achieve the 100-year level flood protection. RR_Resolution_100YR
Also, at the Board meeting, Elizabeth Marshall, a State Farm insurance agent located in Broad Ripple, attended the meeting at the invitation of a Rocky Ripple resident and reported on the latest issues related to FEMA and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) rate hikes.
