PROPOSED CUMULATIVE CAPITOL IMPROVEMENT FUND

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF HEARING ON PROPOSED CUMULATIVE CAPITOL IMPROVEMENT FUND

Why is the new tax being proposed?

Currently the town is running on a negative budget. Without this fund, we cannot do any repairs to town owned properties. The money will be used for repairs to town hall and garages, future purchase of a police car and snowplow equipment along with body armor for our police officer.

How much I am going to be taxed?

The 2027 tax rate will be .0167 for every $100 of assed value of property. This comes out to $16.70 per $100,000 of assessed value.

The 2028 tax rate will be .0333 for every $100 of assed value of property. This comes out to $33.30 per $100,000 of assessed value.

The 2029 and thereafter, tax rate will be .05 for every $100 of assed value of property. This comes out to $50 per $100,000 of assessed value.

When will this proposed new tax be discussed and voted on?

The Rocky Ripple Town Council will consider at Rocky Ripple Town Hall-930 W 54th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208 at 7:30 pm on May 12th, 2026.

Everyone has a right to be heard, for and against, at that meeting.
